Bridge 512

Bridge 512, Flame Straightening

Whatcom County, WA

Bridge 512 was damaged from a truck impact carrying over-height construction equipment. Shearer Design worked with the contractor, owner and repair specialist to develop a repair work plan and implemented the repair using "Heat Straightening" techniques. The repair was carried out while maintaining traffic flow over the bridge. Once the damaged members were repaired, the bridge looked "better than new."
